Pennie Gregory is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Pennie supports schools in the West Learning Community of Indianapolis Public Schools as a lead special education specialist, is an evaluation teacher leader for IPS, and serves on the Indiana Center on Teacher Quality district leadership team. She began her teaching career as a third grade teacher in Baltimore City Public Schools and has served as a special education inclusion teacher at Glenwood Middle School in Evansville, IN, and a special education coordinator for the Charles A Tindley Charter Network Schools. Throughout her career she has mentored young girls through a STEP program. Pennie graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Elementary Education and a Special Education endorsement in Mild Disabilities. She earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Marian University.
