Kiaira Jackson is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Equity Leadership Institute member and Student and Family Liaison for Jeannette School District in Jeannette, Pennsylvania. She helps lead initiatives on mental health awareness and homelessness, creating a supportive school environment, in which every student feels safe and valued. Kiaira also coordinates and oversees community outreach programs, connecting families with local resources and services to support student well-being and academic success. She worked with a team of crisis intervention specialists to provide immediate support and develop individualized action plans to stabilize families during emergency situations. Kiaira has a BA in psychology and minor in theological studies from Eastern University and is pursuing a MSW at PennWest University.
