Aime Perez is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and English language arts teacher at Maine East High School in Park Ridge, Illinois. She focuses on teaching English language arts to multilingual learners, Advanced Placement students, and is involved in district-level curriculum development around student voice. Aime is a member of her district’s Equity Leadership Team, leading a yearlong equity series. She earned a BA in English & Communication – Media and Theater from Northeastern Illinois University, MAT in secondary English education from Western Governors University, and is pursuing an MEd in educational leadership from North Central College.
