Veronica Perez is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and teacher on special assignment in the English Learner and Equity Department for Corona-Norco Unified School District in Norco, California. She coordinates the Summer Language Academy and leads the Newcomer Parent Academy. Veronica previously taught as a dual immersion educator. She was named Corona-Norco Unified School District Teacher of the Year (2020–2021), 2016 Riverside County Bilingual Educators Succeeding Together (B.E.S.T.) Teacher of the Year, and recipient of the Beyond the Classroom Award for Leadership and Volunteerism. She serves as vice president of the California Association for Bilingual Education Riverside Chapter and is a member of the Norco Mounted Posse leading the Golden Circle of Champions program. Veronica earned a BA in liberal studies with a minor in Spanish and MS in bilingual/bicultural education from California State University, Fullerton.
