Tammy Pham is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. Tammy is a 6th-7th grade college readiness teacher at Environmental Charter Middle Schools in Inglewood, California. She focuses on teaching children in the areas of college and career readiness, life skills, and self-advocacy in order to help them find and achieve their goals, passions, and dreams. She has mentored and supported new oncoming staff to adjust to the workplace community as well as helped families transition into new careers. Tammy, a first generation Asian American college graduate, scored the top score on her CalTPAs amongst her student teaching peer cohort. Tammy began her teaching career in California as an instructional aide during the pandemic navigating the virtual teaching world, and she has since taught grades between transitional kindergarten and 8th grade. She earned her BA in liberal studies and multiple subject teaching credential with English learner authorization concurrently from California State University, Long Beach.
