Kristi Pipok is a 2022-2023 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader and a 9th grade English teacher at Crestwood High School in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. She focuses on teaching ELA to primarily bilingual and multilingual students and has a passion for making literacy exciting and accessible for all students. Kristi has previously worked as an English teacher in Wayne-Westland Community Schools (2018-2019) and as the English teacher in a PBL-focused Biology and English course in Belleville High School’s New Tech program (2013-2018). She was a recipient of a WritEL grant in partnership with Eastern Michigan University and the National Writing Project (2019). She earned a BA in Language, Literature, and Writing for Teachers from Eastern Michigan University (2012), and a MA in TESOL from Eastern Michigan University (2021).
