Angel Prado is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and high school mathematics teacher at Bonita Vista Senior High in Chula Vista, California. He supports the mathematics department and serves on the site instructional leadership team. Angel previously served as mathematics curriculum specialist for Sweetwater Union High School District and taught at San Diego State University, Montgomery Senior High School, Hilltop Middle School, and The Preuss School at UC San Diego. He was selected as a Desmos Teaching Fellow (2018) and Noyce Master Teaching Fellow (2020), volunteers with the Greater San Diego Mathematics Council, and collaborates with the San Diego Math Network. He earned a BA in mathematics and BA in philosophy from San Diego State University, MEd from the University of California, San Diego, and EdD in educational leadership from San Diego State University.
