Preston Jackson is a 2021-22 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow who is a teacher at California Middle School in Sacramento. Preston serves as the school’s union rep and is a member of the SCTA Bargaining team. In 2018, Preston became the first Black elected official on the Washington Unified School District Board of Education, where he also served as Board President. Preston holds a BA from The University of California Davis and holds an MA in Educational Leadership and Policy from California State University, Sacramento.
