Valeria Pulido

Valeria Puildo is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Valeria is a 10th grade IB English teacher and team leader at Cesar Chavez High School in Houston, Texas. In her first three years of teaching, she was department chair and team lead at Ortiz Middle School in Houston, Texas. Her experience encompasses creating IB curricula that strengthen teacher-student relationships while exploring the world through multiple lenses. She was selected to participate in The New York Times Learning Network Fellowship to create a curriculum that embodied current events and identity. She was also honored to participate in the Latinos for Education Teacher Fellowship to embrace and push Latinidad to greatness. Valeria earned her BS in interdisciplinary studies and an MEd in curriculum and instruction from Texas A&M University.
