Iracema M. Quintero is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator who teaches freshman, junior, and senior English at Wheaton Warrenville South High School in Wheaton. She leads the school’s first affinity group for BIPOC teachers and support staff, serves as a student mentor, and maintains a culturally and linguistically diverse classroom. Iracema began her teaching career in Texas as a high school English teacher. She was named teacher of the month in March 2018 and was the recipient of the Allen and Olga Meloy Carter Scholarship at Texas Tech University in May 2016. Iracema earned her BA in English from Texas A&M International University and her MA in English from Texas Tech University.
