Guadalupe (Lupe) Ramirez is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and a 9th grade English Language Arts and yearbook teacher at Thornton Fractional South High School in Lansing. Lupe sponsors the Student Equity & Leadership Club and is an affinity group leader and member of the subcommittee for diversity, equity, and inclusion. A veteran instructor, Lupe has taught at the high school and college levels. Lupe is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the University of Illinois chapter of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, and a member of Local 683. She earned her MA in English literature from Purdue University Northwest and is currently studying for an EdD in EPOL- Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
