Erika Rapasky is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow. She teaches 9th and 10th grade English and an honors course in literary genre studies at Hope of Detroit Academy in Detroit. Erika also serves as a professional development facilitator and new teacher mentor. Previously, she taught elementary and middle school, as well as was an instructional coach. Erika is a member of Kappa Delta Pi National Professional Association and Honor Society for Educators. She earned a BS in communications from Grand Valley State University and a post-baccalaureate certificate in secondary teacher preparation from Eastern Michigan University, where she was on the College of Education Dean’s List each semester.
