Alfonso Rapun-Mairal is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Chicago Change Agent and a bilingual physical education teacher at Schubert Elementary in Chicago. He is a member of the ILT, representing the Specialist team. Alfonso was awarded Chicago IAHPERD Elementary Physical Education Teacher of the Year in 2019, 2021, and 2022. He is an active member of the Illinois Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and serves as a leader for the Physical Education department at Chicago Public Schools. He earned his BA in Physical Education from University of Zaragoza (Spain), and a MS in Teaching and Learning with concentration in Bilingual Education from University of St Francis, Joliet.
