Rebecca Christensen is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Rebecca teaches 6th grade mathematics and a 6th grade pre-algebra class at Northview Middle School, where she also co-sponsors the Destination Imagination club. She previously taught 7th grade mathematics and mathematics lab at Arlington Community High School and also served as the middle school team leader. Outside of the classroom, she serves on the advisory board for Ball State University’s Camp Kesem, a nonprofit that offers a community for children affected by a parent’s cancer. Rebecca became a teacher after hearing stories about her grandmother’s work in New York City Public Schools. She graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Global Development Studies and Philosophy and received her MA in teaching from Marian University.
