Rebecca Johnson is a literacy coach at Ralph Waldo Emerson School 58 in Indianapolis Public Schools. In this role, Rebecca learns and collaborates with others honing reading instruction through the disaggregation of data, the use of best practices, and differentiation through small group work with the end goal to best meet the needs of the students in grades 3-6. Rebecca is a board member at the Lillian Davis Foundation, serving students on the west side of Indianapolis with educational opportunities. She previously taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade in various Indianapolis Public School elementary schools, where she established an after-school math club and worked as a math tutor for several years. Rebecca holds a BA in Elementary Education from Anderson University, an MA in Literature and Literacy for K-6 from Kaplan University, and an Administrative Certificate from IUPUI.
