Alexis Reed is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Arkansas & Mississippi Policy Fellow and 10-12 grade educator preparation teacher at Larry Summers Career and Technical Center in Yazoo City, Mississippi. She serves as a teacher mentor and instructional leadership team member. Alexis previously served as an educator workforce specialist with the Mississippi Department of Education. She was named Indianola Career and Technical Center Teacher of the Year (2022-2023), selected as a Mississippi Public Broadcasting Teacher Ambassador (2026-2027), and recognized on a Governor’s Award-winning career and technical education partnership team (2026). Alexis earned a BS in elementary education from Mississippi Valley State University, an MLIS in library and information science and MS in instructional technology and design from the University of Southern Mississippi, and an EdS and EdD in educational leadership from Mississippi College.
