Reynaurora Resendez is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow and 3rd grade bilingual teacher at Jensen Elementary in Pasadena, Texas. She provides professional development for her peers across her district, as well as writes curriculum in English and Spanish. Reynaurora has also worked as a teacher’s aide and 2nd grade bilingual reading teacher. She was named school Bilingual Teacher of the Year (2021-2022), participated in the Emergent Teacher Leaders in Mathematics Academy, completed the Aspiring Coaches Academy in Pasadena Independent School District, and received the Lydia Mendoza Fellowship. Reynaurora co-authored a paper titled “Number Sense Sentence Starters for Bilingual Families,” which was published in Journal of the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators in Texas. She earned her BS in early childhood-6 bilingual education from the University of Houston, master’s in curriculum and instruction- bilingual/English as a second language from the University of Houston, and is pursuing Principal’s Certification at the University of Houston.
