Rina Gonzalez is a 2020-2021 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow who teaches 9th grade, 12th grade, and AP English Literature at Hamilton High School in Hamilton City. In addition to her work at Hamilton High, Rina is very involved in the Carlston Family Foundation Teacher Leadership Academy (TLA). At the TLA, Rina works alongside other veteran teachers to mentor early-career teachers for one week in the summer. She was honored with the Carlston Family Outstanding Teachers of America Award in 2006 and Hamilton Teacher of the year in 2007. She has been the secretary for the Hamilton Teachers Association for 10 years. She holds a BA in English from Sonoma State University and a MA in Education from Chico State University.
