Jessica M. Rivera is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and special education teacher at Keshet Day School in Northbrook, Illinois. She focuses on teaching children with profound disabilities by promoting access, equity, and advocacy. Jessica entered teaching through the Academy for Urban School Leadership and has since taught grades 4-8 in an alternative therapeutic setting, supporting students with complex emotional and behavioral special education needs. She earned her BA in marketing communications with a minor in early childhood education from Columbia College Chicago, and her MA in special education from DePaul University.
