Alex Robins is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus California Educator Diversity Action Network Member. He is an Advanced Placement (AP) U.S. history and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) teacher, social science department chair, and teacher mentor at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California. Alex works to bring more historically disadvantaged students into AP courses and supports first-generation college students. He has also led multiple site-based teams focused on school climate and culture. Alex was Terra Linda Teacher of the Year (2017-2018), Golden Bell Award for Outstanding Marin County Teacher (2021-2022), and Teach Plus California Policy Fellow Education Policy Fellow (2022-23). He belongs to the San Rafael Federation of Teachers and National and California Councils of Social Studies. Alex earned a BA in history from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and MAEd and single-subject teaching credential from the University of Phoenix.
