Jacqueline Robinson is a 2022-2023 Michigan Collaborative Teacher Leader, and a 9th Grade ELA, English, and journalism Teacher, mentor teacher, and Teacher Lead for Equity at Southeastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. She focuses on a variety of learning styles to empower all students to become critical thinkers. She was recognized as a Southeastern High School Impact Educator (2022), Influential Educator (2021) by the Michigan Chronicle and Huntington Bank; and Southeastern High School Teacher of the Year (2018-19). Jacqueline transitioned from a successful journalism career to substitute teaching, coordinated summer tutoring programs before certification, and now is the Detroit Federation of Teachers Union 231 Building Representative at Southeastern High School. She earned her BA in Journalism from Michigan State University, East Lansing, and MA in Teaching Secondary Education with teaching credentials in English and English as a Second Language from Wayne State University, Detroit.
