Cande Rodriguez is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Chicago Change Agent. Cande teaches 2nd grade bilingual at Pasteur Elementary School. She has been teaching for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) for 24 years. Her leadership role this year is in instructor-led training (ILT). She has taught first through third grade bilingual and general education classrooms. She is involved in science programs to increase her leadership skills in science this year. Her leadership roles through CPS have included ILT, serving as a reading specialist, bilingual support for primary grades, and more. She has achieved National Board Certification in English as a second language for kindergarten through 9th grade. Cande graduated from Saint Xavier University with a BS in education and a minor in psychology.
