Diana Rodriguez is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Diana is the Restorative Justice Coordinator at Austin Achieve Middle school in Austin, Texas. She was an ELA teacher where she also hosted a reading and dance club for middle schoolers to learn the history behind and steps to bachata and salsa. Since joining Austin Achieve, she has been actively involved in the social justice and equity committee which tackles various issues that their scholars struggle with. Diana is a San Antonio Teach for America alumna who decided to continue teaching after witnessing the growth and development of students in terms of academics, confidence, and social-emotional intelligence. Diana received her BA in politics, philosophy, and economics from Pomona College.
