Yohanna Roldán is a 2nd grade two-way bilingual immersion teacher at Del Roble Elementary School in San José, California. She is a leading member of her district’s Dual Language Steering Committee which supports emergent bilinguals. Yohanna also serves on her district’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee. She was a member of Oak Grove School District’s Two-Way Bilingual Immersion Master Plan Task Force, and participated in Santa Clara County’s Ethnic Studies Initiative. Yohanna previously taught in San Francisco Unified School District, and served on the Leadership and Equity team.Yohanna was a recipient of Oak Grove School District’s Vision Award (2021) and is a Sobrato Early Academic Language (SEAL) Certified Teacher. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco with a BA in Latin American Studies and a minor in Spanish, and also earned a MAT Education and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with Bilingual Authorization.
