Amy Romani is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow. Amy is a middle school literacy teacher at Tredyffrin Easttown Middle School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania. She began her teaching career in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania and served as the middle school special education liaison and on various school and district leadership committees. Amy presented at the 2021 Association of Literacy Educators and Researchers (ALER) and the corresponding research was published in the ALER Yearbook. In addition, she continues to serve the broader Philadelphia community through her work as a literacy tutor and consultant for local nonprofit organizations. She earned her BS in education with early childhood, elementary, and special education teaching certifications from Cabrini College. She earned her MEd in educational leadership with a focus on literacy, earning certifications as a reading specialist and reading supervisor from St. Joseph’s University. She is currently pursuing her EdD in Principal & Curriculum Supervisory at St. Joseph’s University.
