Heather Romberger is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Policy Fellow and 8th grade English Language Development teacher at Trexler Middle School in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She teaches literacy to students learning English. Heather has taught at the elementary level for 25 years in grades 2-5, many of those years supporting English as a Second Language (ESL) students. Heather began her career teaching in North Carolina; she is part of a team focused on family involvement and student recognition. She earned her BS in elementary education from Kutztown University and master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Universidad de Turabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. Heather also has an ESL teaching endorsement from Pennsylvania State University and is pursuing her doctorate in transformational leading and learning at Kutztown University.
