Ronak Shah is a 2024-2025 Teach Plus Senior Writing Fellow and a 7th grade science teacher at T.C. Howe Middle School on the east side of Indianapolis. He has been teaching for 12 years, and has written on a range of topics related to education, including food access, environmental justice, science education policy, artificial intelligence, and standardized testing. Ronak graduated from Indiana University with a BS in cognitive science and holds an MA in teaching from Marian University. He is an alumnus of the Teach Plus Indiana Policy Fellowship and previously served as a Senior Policy Fellow with that program. His op-eds have been published in Education Weekly, Hechinger Report, and Chalkbeat, among others.
