Liz Rondero

Liz Rondero is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Emergent Bilingual Change Agent and 3rd grade dual language immersion teacher at Victor Hodge Elementary in Azusa, California. She is a Dual Language Immersion (DLI) technical assistance leader. Previously, Liz served as master teacher for aspiring bilingual educators, mentor to new DLI teachers, and instructor for Loyola Marymount University’s math and science course for the Academic Spanish Certificate preK-12. She was Los Angeles County Bilingual Directors Association’s Exemplary Bilingual Teacher (2016) and district Teacher of the Year (2025-2026). Liz participated in the Californians Together English Learner Leadership and Legacy Institute (2024) and was in the 2024-2025 Biliteracy Leaders Cohort with Renaissance Learning. She earned her BA in liberal studies, master’s in curriculum and instruction, and California Teaching Credential with a Bilingual Cross-cultural Emphasis from the University of Southern California. Liz also earned a Certificate in Teaching Academic Spanish preK-12 from Loyola Marymount University.
