Ryan Burnett is working on service learning projects for middle schoolers to build intrinsic motivation, empathy for others, and awareness. Ryan teaches 7th and 8th grade writing and social sciences at Asa Phillip Randolph Elementary School. She has previously taught middle school mathematics and K-8 Spanish. Ryan is a teacher leader for the reading apprenticeship across the disciplines (RAAD) program at her school. She has worked as a consulting educator and was selected to attend Chicago Public Schools’ Aspiring Assistant Principals Institute Ryan graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in Marketing, Finance, and International Business, and received a MAT from National Louis University and a MA in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
