Yalanda Salone is a returning 2024-2025 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow who teaches 10th grade chemistry and IPC at Foy H. Moody High School in Corpus Christi. Yalanda previously taught 9th grade biology and 11th-12th grade physics. is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Honor Society and Texas AFT- Corpus Christi where she currently serves on the executive board and as a building rep. She is currently a second year fellow with the Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellowship and She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a BS in landscape architecture and received her MS in secondary education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
