Samantha Schleder is a 2018-19 Teach Plus Texas Policy Fellow. Samantha teaches 4th grade math, social studies, and writing at Harmony School of Science-Houston where she is also the K-4 department head, a mentor teacher, and leads the character education team. She was selected to attend the National Forum on Character Education and the National APBS Conference, and developed the K-8-character education curriculum for her campus. Samantha was her campus’ Elementary Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year. She is the district PLC leader for 4th grade writing and is on the curriculum writing team. Samantha was selected to present at the 2017 Personalized Learning Summit for the U.S. Department of Education, to attend the NASA Train the Trainer Institute, and has led many PD sessions at the campus and district level. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Applied Developmental Psychology and a MEd in Elementary Education.
