Sarah TeKolste is a Teach Plus Indianapolis Teaching Policy Fellow. Sarah teaches upper-level Spanish at Emmerich Manual High School, where she also co-leads the poetry club, international club, and the college and career readiness initiative. Sarah has taught in Spain through the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages and English abroad through Fundación Adsis in Spain, Bilingual Education for Central America in Honduras, and El Nahual Centro Comunitario in Guatemala. As a Teach For America corps member, Sarah was nominated to receive the New Educator of the Year award for excellence in teaching in 2016. She graduated from Indiana University with a BA in Spanish and Theatre & Drama and earned an MAT from Marian University in secondary Spanish instruction.
