Jamie Schnablegger is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and a middle school general education teacher. She teaches English at Edwin Markham Middle School in Watts, California. She is the GSA club sponsor and has served as English department chair for three consecutive years. In 2018, Jamie was awarded the College of Education Outstanding Initial Credential Student Award. Jamie has previously taught Special Education and in an elementary school setting. Recently, she consulted with Students Achievement Partners to develop tools that support culturally and historically relevant classroom instruction. She is a current National Board Certification teacher candidate. Jamie has earned a BA in Liberal Studies, her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Education Specialist Teaching Credential from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). She earned a MS, Special Education degree through the Education Specialist and Clear Credential Program at CSULB where she graduated with university honors.
