Chalesea Schuler

Chalesea Schuler is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow and K-8 Math Teacher on Special Assignment in Sunnyvale School District in Sunnyvale, California. She supports district-wide implementation of K-8 math curriculum and collaborates with teams to design and facilitate professional development that supports multilingual learners. Her roles have included middle school math teacher, PK-8 math specialist, and site instructional coach. Chalesea received the Lone Mountain Legacy Scholars Social Justice Award from the University of San Francisco to support her doctoral research. She is National Board Certificated in Early Adolescence Math and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She earned dual bachelor’s in sociology and interdisciplinary studies, with a focus on math and psychology, from the University of California, Riverside; MEd from the University of California, Berkeley; and doctorate in organization and leadership, concentrating on transformative school leadership, from the University of San Francisco.
