Catherine Schulz is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Colorado Policy Fellow and grades K-8 Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Educator at Soaring Eagles Community School in Colorado Springs. She teaches multilingual and multicultural learners in developing linguistic skills that support their academic achievement, building their interpersonal skills. Cat mentors new teachers and student teachers through Colorado’s induction programs, Boards of Cooperative Education Services, and University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and has contributed to district committees that support newcomer students. Cat was named Sand Creek Internationals’ Teacher of the Year (2017-2018). She earned a BA in teaching English as a second language and MA in education, both from Union University.
