Marcia Scoles is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and grades 10-12 English teacher in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She also teaches English as a Second Language classes and is pioneering a new course: Advanced Placement Seminar English for sophomores. Marcia is a member of her district’s improvement team and Safety Committee. Previously, she has worked as a New Teacher Mentor, English Department Lead, School Improvement Team member, and National Honor Society advisor for 10 years at Summit Academy North High School in Romulus. Marcia earned a BS in secondary education, majoring in political science and minoring in English, and an MEd in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in reading from Concordia University in Portland, Oregon.
