Delecia Scott is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow and 6th grade special education teacher and department chair at Mason-Clark Middle School in East Saint Louis, Illinois. She serves as a member of her school’s Guiding Coalition. Delecia previously taught 8th grade English language arts and math, preK in Madison Community Unit School District 12, and grades 6-12 special education in East Saint Louis School District 189. Delecia received the Illinois School Leader Pipeline Program Grant (2026). She earned a BS in business with an emphasis in marketing from Northern Illinois University, MA in special education from McKendree University, and is pursuing an MS in educational administration with Director of Special Education endorsement at Illinois State University.
