Lauren Scott is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus New Mexico Senior Policy Fellow and kindergarten teacher leader at Mountain Mahogany Community School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She believes that school is a place that can give children the power to create a more just and peaceful world through their learning of academic and social emotional skills. Lauren was the 2024-26 Teach Plus New Mexico Policy Fellow of the Year (2026). She has a BA in European studies and creative writing from the University of New Mexico, and MA in special education teaching from Capella University.
