Tracy Selock is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus Illinois Policy Fellow, and 7th and 8th grade math teacher at Lincoln Cultural Center Montessori Fine Arts School in Kankakee, Illinois. She is also an adjunct professor in the master’s program at Olivet Nazarene University in Bradley. Tracy is part of the curriculum and grading practices committees in her district. She previously served on the superintendent’s transition team, school and district leadership team, and curriculum selection committees. Tracy is East Central Illinois Teacher of the Year (2025), was recognized as the 2025 Teacher of Excellence by University of Chicago, received the Rosenthal Prize Summer Institute (2025), and was honored with the Daily Journal Golden Apple Award (2023). She serves as her district’s senator on the executive board of the union. Tracy earned her BA in elementary education from Illinois State University, MA in teaching and learning from the University of St. Francis, and MS in instructional technology from Nova Southeastern University.
