Susanna Sendejas is a 2022-2023 Teach Plus Illinois Affinity Group Facilitator and a Literacy Teacher and an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher at Rondout Elementary School in Lake Forest. Susanna has previously been a Spanish teacher, 4th grade teacher, 5th grade teacher, Adult ELL teacher, Literacy teacher for grades 6 through 8, basketball coach, and assistant track coach. Susanna began her teaching career in Belvidere, Illinois where she launched a Folkloric Mexican Youth Dance Group while she taught 1st grade. She earned her BA in Education and bilingual/ELL teaching credential from Northern Illinois University, an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University. She is an EdD candidate in the Teaching and Learning: Curriculum, Advocacy and Policy Program at National Louis University.
