Shannon Levitt a Teach Plus Illinois Teaching Policy Fellow. Shannon is an English and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) teacher at Crystal Lake Central High School in Crystal Lake, IL. Since 2002, Shannon has taught all grade and academic levels. She has piloted and is a teacher leader for her school’s AVID and AP Capstone program, and is a district professional development instructor for Discipline with Love and Logic and WICOR instructional (AVID) strategies. Shannon serves on the school improvement leadership team and the AVID Site Team at Crystal Lake Central, and is passionate about arts inclusion in education. Shannon earned her BA in English Education from University of Illinois-Chicago and her MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Webster University.
