Shannon Slade teaches 5th grade math and science at Monroe Elementary School in the Chicago Public School District. A National Board Certified teacher, Shannon is head of her school’s math committee and Monroe’s math teacher leader providing professional development and support for school-wide implementation of the Common Core Math Standards and Practices. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Elementary Education and earned an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University.
