Sheila Weathers is a 2021-2022 Teach Plus Nevada Senior Policy Fellow and a 16-year elementary educator who currently teaches 4th grade with the Clark County School District. She has served as a learning strategist, grade level chair, department chair, a member of the school performance committee, Student Success Team Lead, and has sponsored student council. Sheila has served as a literacy coach with The Center for Black Educator Development and as a teacher development coach with The New Teacher Project (TNTP). In 2014, as a 3rd grade teacher, she was a national semi-finalist for the Fishman Prize sponsored by The New Teacher Project (TNTP). She proudly received her BA in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and received her MA in elementary education from Loyola Marymount University.
