Daniela Silva is a 2025-2026 Teach Plus California Policy Fellow. As an education specialist, case manager, and advisor at Lynwood High School in Lynwood, California, they teach students in multiple subjects, including U.S. history, world history, government, economics, English, and chemistry. Daniela is the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) advisor and School Site Council member, where they advocate for inclusive programming, mental health awareness, and equitable resource allocation. They were the first in their family to graduate from college, are a former DACAmented educator, and were selected as a 2025 United We Dream Organizing Academy Fellow for their leadership in community organizing and advocacy. Daniela is a founding member of Angelenos Unidos, a Southern California chapter of United We Dream. They earned their BA in critical race and ethnic studies from the University of California, Merced, and MAEd in special education from the Alder Graduate School of Education.
