Charlee Sindelar is a 2023-2024 Teach Plus Illinois Early Childhood Educator Policy Fellow. Charlee is a first grade teacher at Jose de Diego Community Academy Chicago, Illinois. She focuses on personalized learning, centers relationships as the heart of her classroom, and practices trauma-informed teaching in order to promote the positive development of the whole child. Charlee currently serves as one of two co-captains of Personalized Learning at Diego. She previously taught as a math interventionist and second grade teacher at a dual language school in her home state of Nebraska. She earned her BS in elementary education (K-6) from the University of Nebraska and will complete her ESL endorsement from Dominican University in August.
