Siobhan Gearty is a Teach Plus Commonwealth Teaching Policy Fellow. She is a 7th Grade English Language Arts and social studies teacher at Memorial Middle School in Hull, MA. She began her teaching career as a student volunteer in the Manchester Public Schools, an experience which sparked a desire to help students struggling with poverty. Siobhan then worked in the Brockton Public School system for four years as a Title 1 reading teacher. Siobhan earned a BA in English from Saint Anselm College and an MAT in English from Boston College.
