Marielle Sirk

Marielle Sirk is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Michigan Policy Fellow and high school science teacher at Sault Area High School and Career Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She teaches chemistry, honors chemistry, anatomy and physiology, physics, biology, and earth and space science. Marielle leads new science curriculum development and expands laboratory and career-connected learning opportunities through grant funding. She previously served as a career and college advisor at Sault Area High School and Career Center. Marielle was recognized by the Michigan College Access Network as Adviser of the Year (2022–2023) and is a TeachMichigan Early Career Educator Fellow. She earned two BS degrees in biology and chemistry with pre-medical and biochemistry concentrations from Lake Superior State University and MA in education with a concentration in teaching pedagogy from Northern Michigan University.
