Aniyah Smith is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Arkansas & Mississippi Policy Fellow. She is a 9th grade honors and on-level civics and economics teacher at Marion Junior High School in Marion, Arkansas. Aniyah serves as the debate team sponsor and track & field coach. She previously held public service internships and political campaign leadership roles (2022–2024). Aniyah served as Miss Black Arkansas (2025–2026) under the platform, “The Kids Are Alright: Championing Youth Equity and Development,” and co-founded Take Two, Inc., a nonprofit focused on supporting and rehabilitating justice-involved youth. She earned a BA in political science from Howard University.
