Brittny Smith is a 2022-2023 Indianapolis Equity Change Agent, 6th grade high ability teacher, advisor lead, and member of the Equity Committee at Oaklandon Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana. She focuses on building self advocacy where students are able to use their voice to be heard where they feel impactful to the classroom and school community. Brittny is a MSD Lawrence Township High Ability Review Committee Member (2022-2023), was the Oaklandon Elementary School Teacher of the Year nominee (2022), and served as a MSD Lawrence Township Equity Committee Member (2021-2022). Brittny began her education career in the MSD Lawrence Township School Corporation where she has served in numerous roles. She earned her BS in Exercise Science from Ball State University and an MSEd in Urban Education from Indiana University.
