Lynetta Smith is a 2026-2027 Teach Plus Pennsylvania Belonging, Empowerment, and Mentorship Network Facilitator and K-2 English as a Second Language teacher at Duquesne City School District in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. She serves as the teacher leader of her school’s Equity Leadership Institute Team and has been co-coordinator of Family Cultural Night events. Lynetta previously taught preschool with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Head Start program, as well as kindergarten and 2nd grade at Duquesne K–8. She was awarded Staff Member of the Month for Duquesne City School District (October 2025). Lynetta earned a BS in early childhood education with a minor in French from California University of Pennsylvania, an MS in psychology with a concentration in applied behavior analysis from Kaplan University, and holds English as a Second Language Pennsylvania State Certification.
